Expand Sales in the World Marketplace, Increase Your Profits
What is the STEP Grant?
Small business owners, executives, and managers: Have you considered expanding your sales beyond our borders? Do you want to learn how to export? If you're already exporting, do you want to expand to new markets?
The State Trade and Export Promotion initiative (STEP), funded in part through a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration, can help you learn how to export and bring you face to face with potential customers, distributors or other partners. The STEP program is designed to increase the number of small businesses that export and raise the value of exports for those small businesses that are already exporting.
Participants from 2012 have already earned an ROI of more than $3 million.
There are still opportunities in 2013 for businesses to participate in trade missions to China, Japan, Brazil or another country of choice through a matching grant.
How to apply?
Please submit your online application as soon as possible.
Applicants will be interviewed by Delaware's STEP working group for ther rediness and ability to participate in the program.
All Delaware businesses are welcome to apply. As always, Delaware small businesses that are economically disadvantaged, owned by women and/or veterans, and located in rural communities are also invited to attend and learn more.
